Goodyear World HQ & Parking Deck

The 8-story, 639,000 square foot Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company Global Headquarters building includes two atriums, training centers, research labs, fitness center, 450-seat cafeteria, and a Goodyear company store.

Akron Rebar Company supplied and fabricated the 130 tons of rebar required to construct the large caissons for this massive facility, and then installed those caissons that are so vital to carrying the building load. Akron Rebar Company further fabricated and placed another 120 tons of rebar necessary for the structural stability of the entire building.

GARAGE

The five-level, cast-in-place concrete parking deck is one of the largest in Ohio (½ mile in length), connected by a pedestrian bridge as part of the Goodyear World HQ complex. This large facility provides 2,928 parking spaces, and we were honored to fabricate and place 2,000 tons of rebar in the post-tensioned slabs that stabilize this parking deck and roof.
